The packaging family concept Oscar India Lima’s line of products is military inspired just like the brand identity. The packaging needed to assist in quickly identifying the region and dual phase system of the product line. The idea is to continue the theme of compactness and efficiency all the way onto the store shelving configuration. The visual design is subtly covert ops inspired while not blatantly militaristic to avoid being cliche or cheesy.
Phase 1 products stack on top of phase 2 products and interlock neatly to waste no space when packed, just like a military pack would be loaded. One side of the secondary packages are shaved at an angle to allow the logo to wrap around and call out the ‘OIL’ portion of the logo. The angles used allow the packages to reverse and interlock to not waste space in larger boxes.
All of the containers that will be used to house the actual product has been chosen to reflect similar military vessels such as canteens, flasks, canisters, boot polish tins, etc.. All 6 products can be purchased together in a full kit (kit named after fully packed soldier’s load-out). Again, this full kit will be designed to house all 6 products in a compact, efficient manner. A specialty gift set will be available that adds a high quality tool for each region of the product line—a stainless steel safety razor for the Beard Region, a high quality tortoise shell comb for the Brain Region and a dual sided loofah for the Body Region. The gift set boxes are completed with paracord pull handles and varnishes to give a stealthy, covert ops feel.
